Dear Sunshine State,

In the past I've disliked you sometimes. I've complained about the "cold" (for what I'm used too) weather and I've whined about rainy days (see here). But I would like to say thanks. Thanks for bringing us springtime early. And lovely sunshiney days. And perfect weather to lay in the sunshine and study for midterms. And for beautiful breezy palm trees. Thanks Sunshine State. I've really missed your friendly weather. Let's kept this perfect weather a little longer please?

Let's be Awkward and Awesome!

Awkward:
- Laying out and having a girl with pasties (you know the little stickers instead of a real bra?) on her boobs instead of a real top. There are BOYS around. Modesty anyone? There's a tonnnn of people around. yuck. ha.

- Having my lovely friend go "oh my goodness she's wearing pasties! pastie girl!" only to have said girl say that phrase right back to us... haha oopsies.

- Working at a desk where you have to talk to drunk college freshman. enough said.

Awesome:

- SPRING BREAK IS ALMOST HERE! thank you!

- Laying out and studying for midterms in the sun this weekend. That's what we're doing. yes!

- Going home in a few (ish) days!

- Mexico! That's were i'm heading for spring break!

- The most beautiful weather imaginable.

- Being productive (even with a lot lack of sleep) and finishing the worst week of projects/papers yet!

A little thing called life.

Hello all!

I'm so sorry I've been away so much recently. Life has just really become crazy. Like for-reals. Craziness I tell you! I'll hopefully be posting and updating with real life very soon! Only the rest of the day to get through. 3 more hours. 3 more hours. 3 more hours. 3 more hours. I'm not counting down until I get a nap or anything... ha! ;)

Have you been here?

So I follow a blog calledddd The Yellow House. Basically? It's adorable. She is so cute and has the sweetest photos for purchase. And not only that but all the money goes to support her son, Cash. {Read here.} She is simply lovely and so is her blog. And this week she is having a giveaway! Yippee!The wonderful Cherie Chic is giving away the below mirror and also has a super sweet blog (follow it. you'll like it. trust me!) along with an Etsy Shop! So much wonderfulness! Her creativity astounds me and inspires me all at the same time. And this week they are giving away this little number. Isn't it adorable?

Some food for Thought

So I stumbled across this blog at least a year ago, before it ever crossed my mind to become a blogger {ha. look at me now} and I read it pretty frequently. It's full of such insightful information. And on that note the other day I decided to check up on it and came across this Lovely Post. She talks about the curse of childbearing upon women from the fall of man of Adam and Eve. She also mentions how the curse of childbearing does not only fall upon those women who are bearing children. She talks about how relationships for women are overall just more painful for women. As women we feel a lost whenever any friendship or relationship ends, more so than men. That is apart of our curse we feel more, especially in regards to men in our life, guy friends, dads, uncles, boyfriends. It really opened my eyes to what I, as a woman, struggle with. So check it out. She's pretty awesome.

Weekend.

Okay sooo maybe it's a little bit old {as in from LAST weekend} but whatev's. It's been a crazy week and last weekend was so wonderful and it must [read MUST] be documented.

So the weekend started out by the fact that I got to go home! Homehomehome! Lovely stuff folks anddd I also got to EAT IN CINDERELLA'S CASTLE, Disney World. whoaaaza! And then we MET PRINCESSES! Guys- it was ahhhhhhh.maaaaaaa.azinggggg. for real. I could really NOT have had a better weekend. At all. And I got to celebrate these 2 lovelies birthday's.

Really. It was wonderful. I love my family [have I mentioned that yet?] And I got to wander around stores with my best friend friday night [I know, exciting aren't we?] It was like wonderful summer all over again. Which is what this spring weather is making me dream of! Here's some sights from the weekend.

Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

I'm baaaackkkkk! Finally. It has been too long! How's about I don't do so much school stuff and neglect you anymore kay? kay. Moving on...

It's Thursday! Meaning {of course} that awkward and awesome's have to come out! So if you have any make sure to post them in the comments below! I wanna hear 'em! Happy Awkward and Awesome Thursday! :)

Awkward:

- Interning this morning and having a 7 year old bop me on the head... in front of the principal {yikes- for him!}

- Working this afternoon and apologizing to a guy for all the yelling girls behind our front desk- his response was "I'm okay with that".... awkward.

- Being in a communal bathroom to hear 2 girls discussing living arrangements and saying this very building where you live and work is the worse one to live in... [but at least it's social] butttt then you walk out of the stall...

- Again working at today and having a girl come to pick up her package...and having her almost hand me her fake ID. Then quickly taking it back and saying "Oh that's my sisters ha ha ha". {Ha. No. No it's not but I'm so flattered you think I'm so young that I wouldn't know that. Really Thanks. ha!}

Awesome:

- Planning bible study today {I know it's up there every week but seriously folks, these planning sessions are aweeeesomeeeee!}

- Being able to see a lovely lady Twice this week! Yippee!

- Doing a whole hour class of turbo kick last night. Get it.

- RA Appreciation day and the wonderful staff bonding and mochi time we got. Yes!

- Free dinner tonight! Holllllllaaaaaaa!

- Seeing a best friend from high school this weekend AND getting to go on a weekend retreat Yes!

So basically sorry that i have been forever and ever busy lately! I'm telling you one. craahhhhhzzzyy week. Seriously though it's been nutso. But I promise to have a real life update really really soon. And a birthday post from LAST wednesday. [ horrible, I know!] but really it's been busy but really fun! It's a Birthday Shout Hoorayyyy! :))

That pretty lady there in the center? Ya see her? It's her birthday. Yeah she's pretty much the coolest lady ev-er. Yeah. Be jealous.

Today is one of the most [arguably the very most] important days of the year. It's my momma's birthday! {If you're new read here.} As you can see, I basically lovemymommamorethananything and am obsessed with her! ha. sooooo today is her birthday and I am so.stinkin.excited to celebrate this day of her birth!

Weekend.

This lovely weekend folks i did {insert drumroll here} nothing. Yep that's right. You heard it here first I am a real live college student who's entire goal this weekend was to do nothing. This was helped along by the fact that I had to stay in for my job but none the less, it was delightful. I did absolutely nothing {that includes minimal homework, oops!}, watched part of Inception, handled a flood, worked on a group project, built a model, and did not changing out of my PJ's. Awesomeness I tell you! That kind of weekend should be mandatory for everyone at least once a month. Buttt moving on...

Doing absolutely nothing {or at the least very little} this weekend totally has come back to bite me in the bum. I feel like I've been working like a mad woman these past 2 days in order to catch up! Too much I tell you! All I can say is I am looking forward to the weekend... And maybe some best friend time?!

I went to a Hoedown

Last Thursday night I went to a Hoedown. The annual Hoedown. It was ah-mah-zing. There was a mechanical bull, barbeque, friends, laughter, horses, and line dancing. I couldn't have asked for a better hoedown. It's an annual thing at my lovely school here and is made so much better by the sheer ridiculousness that it usually brings with it. I didn't grow up frequenting hoedown's and such sooooo it's usually a really exciting ordeal. Here's some lovelies from it :)

There was also a mechanical bull riding incident...or really just a video. Anddd it made me laugh so stinkin hard that I'm gonna share it with you guys! Just not too many jokes kay? ;)

Today is Thursday... Let's be Awkward and Awesome!

Awkward:
- Waking up MULTIPLE times last night to thunder outside my window (okay so it's not awkward, just annoying)
- Line dancing when you have to take turns holding hands... with everyone.

- Riding a mechanical bull. {Yes you read that right... riding a mechanical bull}

- Going to my internship this morning and being soaked from running to the car in the rain

- Driving to same said internship and seeing roadkill in the middle of the road...and all it's blood and guts across the road {Yuck}

Awesome:

- Going to a Hoedown tonight with some of my favorites! Yippeeee! :)

- Interning this morning and then coming back to my nice warm room out of the cold rain and staying there allll dayyy longggg.

- Not having classes today or tomorrow! Whoop Whoop!

- Going with my lovely engaged friend tomorrow morning to her dress fitting!

- Being stuck in my room all weekend with creativity abounding

- Having this sweet little blog. It makes me smile :)

Late Late Late

Soooo sorry that I haven't been around in a while. It's been crazy. For real. Cr-ah-zy. Spaced out just like that. I haven't been so overly tense in a while BUTTT the good news is it's over for now! Yippeee! And sidenote: I'd been trying to post my previous post for dayssss but it wouldn't upload too anything. Eww. Oh well it finally did. I'll be more descriptive about my life tomorrow (or really later today) when it isn't nearly 2 in the A.M. and when I don't have to be up innnn oh about 5 hours. Woo hoo.
